reading again...

My greatest pleasure is reading. I can sit all day without getting tired. You can lock me up inside a bookstore and it will be heaven. This Chic Lit sensation started when I read Clique, the series written by Lisi Harrison. Then I got to read The Devil Wears Prada by Lauren Weisberger (I've read all her books and I am waiting for the new book). To be honest, I don't like the Shopaholic Series by Kinsella, probably because it's got sequels i will never find the time to read. Not that I don't like series, I skipped Tomasi to read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
This book, Twenties Girl was suggested by a good friend. She said that it was a good read. My first choices were really The Last Song and Dear John all from Sparks but because the bookstore still doesn't have a copy I choose to look for Kinsella on the shelves and viola Love at First Read. Sadie Lancaster is Lara's great grand aunt who's haunting her and is forcing her to look for her necklace. I find Sadie's character as entertaining and witty. She's dominant and carefree. While Lara is suffering from a heartache because her soulmate broke up with her for no reason. I am not yet finished with the book but as I move to every chapter my smile gets wider.
Reading is like therapy or a painkiller when you have a massive headache. This book so far really makes me happy. It makes my life colorful again. A good break from my routine. I suggest you find a book that will make you feel good. ♥
